Hey folks. Is August a whirlwind for you? It sure is for us! It seems like everyone leaves town sometime in August. Us? Certainly! By the end of August, we will have been in Argentina, home for VBS at our church, Manhattan Grace Tabernacle, to Michigan for a concert at Maranatha, then back to Argentina at the end of August for some meetings in Tucumán.
Right now, we are in the middle of VBS. It is wonderful and exhausting. We have over 180 inner city kids, mostly unchurched, and we are teaching them about Jesus. Dozens of our church members have taken the week off to volunteer, and it is a fabulous outreach. Dámaris teaches the "Junior" girls, ages 10-12 during Bible Hour. Our daughter, Ashley, aka "Marsha the Martian" is the host of the morning and afternoon assemblies, teaching songs and interviewing the kids, puppets and even counselors with her sidekick, Salt-and-Light-Year.
Here are some pictures of VBS. Pray for these kids to make lasting decisions for Christ. Their families will come to "Graduation" on Friday night and hear the wonderful Good News about Jesus, too.
