We are invited to "come boldly" to the throne of grace, where we will find grace and mercy. Hebrews 4:16. Don't we all need grace and mercy? AWAKEN WOMEN'S CONFERENCE - WESTGATE CHAPEL (3 VIDEOS)
Awaken Conference
Westgate Chapel Edmonds, WA |
Dámaris has been an invited guest of Westgate Chapel in Edmonds, WA for many years. Invited to speak three times at their Awaken conference, Dámaris shares her love of reading the Bible and reflects on how the book of Ruth has convicted her. The Bible's account of this Moabite woman illustrates so many qualities that we need to emulate. The first two of these three sessions describes the life of this Gentile woman, who ends up being in the lineage of Jesus Christ.
In the third session, Dámaris explores the mystery of doing everything without complaining or arguing (Phil 2:14). The key verse to understanding this concept is in Romans 12. |

How Can We NOT Complain?!
As children of light we should live lives that shine in this very dark world—but this is challenging to say the least! We can all probably say that we feel like it’s becoming nearly impossible to not complain or argue! However, God’s Word, which is still able to teach us, will show us that being content IS attainable (1 Timothy 6:6) and Romans 12:12 gives us a small, yet powerful, “formula” for the challenge. In this Zoom Get-Together for The Christian Working Woman, Dámaris Carbaugh leads us through this formula, which includes three key areas. Click on the graphic above to watch! |

Goodbye to Me
God has tremendous plans for our lives. Too often, though, we pursue the goals of success, ease and comfort that we have planned for ourselves instead of pursuing the Lord. Sooner or later that will shipwreck our lives. God's plans are perfect and bring joy to us as well as glory to His name, but those plans hinge on one little word: "If." |

GOD'S EXTREMES: ALWAYS, NEVER AND ALL
God's Word reveals many things about Him. Dámaris points out in this message that when God uses the words "always," "never," and "all," we should understand that He is being very clear in what He expects from us. Sometimes it seems difficult, but God has also promised to supply us the faith and power to accomplish all that He has planned. |

Encouraging Yourself in the Lord
David is one of the best known people in the Bible. Books, sermons and songs have been written about his life, and even our Savior, Jesus Christ, is known as the Son of David. In her own inimitable way, Dámaris summarizes David's life all the up to the disaster in Ziklag in 1 Samuel 30:6. There, David encouraged himself in the Lord... even when his own men were talking of stoning him. Facing something difficult? Listen and let the Lord encourage you as only He can. |

God is Enough
All Christians know that God is enough. It is easy to understand that an all-powerful God does not lack for anything, and does not need any help to take care of us and the rest of the world. In theory. In practice, however, we are prone to doubt and fear, just like the disciples in the storm-ravaged boat. Listen to Dámaris message and be encouraged. |

The Importance of the Bible
Speaking at her home church in NYC, Dámaris develops the importance of the Word of God from an unusual viewpoint: the fear of the Lord. Obvious connotations of fear do not always apply to the fear of the Lord. We love God and know He loves us, so what part does fear actually play in our worship and daily choices. Listen and may the Lord speak to your heart directly through this message. |

Bad Enough
In the You Are 2019 Conference last weekend in College Station, Texas, Dámaris discussed two attitudes that people tend to have. One makes a person think, "Hey, I'm not as bad as THAT person." The other makes a person think, "What I have done is so bad that I don't deserve forgiveness." Both are correct, thinking secularly, but both are very wrong thinking spiritually. Using Luke 1:78-79, Romans 3:23, Isaiah 53 (NLT), Dámaris explains that Christ's suffering, death on the cross and resurrection was God's punishment for everything that has been done wrong, and that it was enough to purchase forgiveness for anyone who asks. |

At a women’s conference in Miami, Dámaris spoke about the unique life of Abraham. What was it about his life that would single him out as the only one in the Old Testament that God called His “friend”? Dámaris's ministry opportunities at the Brooklyn Tabernacle began when she was a teenager when Pastor Cymbala invited her mother to speak. Since then, she has been privileged to minister there in music countless times, and has had the opportunity to speak there as well. Using Deut. 6:5 and John 14:15, Rev 2:2-5, as well as her personal testimony, she encourages us that doing is not the same as loving, and that Jesus is asking us to love Him wholeheartedly. |

Loving GodIn a women's conference at Shelter Rock Church in Syosset, NY, Dámaris not only explains how the Bible challenges us to love God, but why. Weaving her testimony into Psalm 119, Deuteronomy and 1st John, we see that God commands us to love Him, but only after He has delivered us from the slavery of sin and given us more than we could ever hope for. |

What Does Your Faith Look LikeIn a Georgia state-wide women's conference, Dámaris gave two keynote sessions. On Friday night, she used her testimony to challenge the women that the Lord is worthy of more. Then in the Saturday morning session Dámaris taught on the faith of Abraham and the Syrophoenician woman in Mark, and the importance of reading the Word of God. Weaving life stories into her messages, she challenges us to examine our trust in the all-knowing and all-loving God, wisely accept correction, and pursue the gifts that He has given us that make us unique. |

"If You Love Me..."In order to really love God, you need to know how much He loves you. In her own inimitable way, even drawing from stories of her high school flames, Dámaris teaches about God's unfathomable love for us, and our undeniable directive to love Him, followed by willing obedience. As you continue to get to know God, you will not only love Him more, but it will evidenced in obedience. Jesus said "If you love me, you will keep my commandments." John 14:15 |

What is the Attitude of Your Faith? At First Alliance Church in Erie, PA, Dámaris was invited to do a mini-women's conference. Her message was about faith: what it should look like and how to get more of it. The Syro-Phoenician Woman is an example of great faith with tremendous humility. And even though the disciples themselves tried to dismiss her, she did not give up. Her desperation and tenacity moved Jesus to act on her behalf. |
