]]><![CDATA[Awaken Women's Conference - Westgate Chapel (3 Videos)]]>Fri, 23 Jun 2023 20:27:49 GMThttps://www.damariscarbaugh.com/home/awaken-womens-conference-westgate-chapel-3-videosDámaris has been an invited guest of Westgate Chapel in Edmonds, WA for many years.  Invited to speak three times at their Awaken conference, ​Dámaris shares her love of reading the Bible and reflects on how the book of Ruth has convicted her.  The Bible's account of this Moabite woman illustrates so many qualities that we need to emulate.  The first two of these three sessions describes the life of this Gentile woman, who ends up being in the lineage of Jesus Christ.

In the third session, Dámaris explores the mystery of doing everything without complaining or arguing (Phil 2:14).  The key verse to understanding this concept is in Romans 12.

​As children of light we should live lives that shine in this very dark world—but this is challenging to say the least!  We can all probably say that we feel like it’s becoming nearly impossible to not complain or argue! However, God’s Word, which is still able to teach us, will show us that being content IS attainable (1 Timothy 6:6) and Romans 12:12 gives us a small, yet powerful, “formula” for the challenge.
